About Us
The Grove City Chamber Singers were founded in 1989 by Ellen Linn to participate in the annual Grove City Town Center Christmas Celeberation. Although the group continues to be active during the holiday season, over the years the opportunity to perform has taken the Chamber Singers to numerous local and regional venues, as well as Austria, Italyand Costa Rica.
Though most members reside in Grove City, the group includes members from surrounding communities in Central Ohio.
1996-The group was the first choral group to perform at the prestigious Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago.
1999-The Chamber Singers were selected as the choral group to sing at the State Christmas Tree lighting with then Governor George Voinovich.
2001-The group articipated in the Innsbruck International Choral Music Festival in Austria.
2003-The group sang at a mass at the Vatican in Rome, Italy as well as venues in Florence and Venice with the Columbus Chamber Singers.
2016-Members traveled to Coast Rica with members of Capriccio Columbus for three performaces.
